We did enjoy the lunch and dinner options in the Lido Market as well. For lunch, my go-to was either a deli sandwich or Asian selections from one of the Distant Land areas. Everything I tried, from fried rice, to lo mein, to sweet and sour pork, was delicious. Other options for both dinner and lunch include a custom pasta station and made to order salads. Since I don't advocate compulsory dress on formal night, I am not a good person to ask. Pool or beach attire, shorts, ball caps and casual jeans (with fraying and/or holes) are not welcomed in the dining rooms. On casual night shorts were abundant in the DR with just about any shirt you could imagine - from T shirts to Hawaiian with lots of crazy designs. I agree that once Princess starts sailing again, conditions aboard (i.e. dress codes etc) may be different. Most likely the pax cruising will be the regulars with few newbies aboard. The dress code isn't one consistent policy and enforcement on every ship and every itinerary.
